Road Trip Across the Southwest | During Covid | 2020
Hey guys!
This summer of 2020 my husband and I worked a seasonal job in Lake Powell, AZ, and once we were finished with our contract, we made a road trip back to Texas, stopping first in Arches, Utah. It was a bit of a detour but had been on our bucket list!
We then drove straight to Flagstaff, AZ to visit the Grand Canyon, then to Phoenix/Mesa, AZ and stayed in Lost Dutchman State Park in Apache Junction before heading down to Tucson to visit the Saguaro National Park and Tombstone. We had to cut out the Cosmic Campground due to all the fires going on, and the White Sands (we had actually stopped by for a little while, before continuing to Roswell.) Roswell, NM was our last stop before heading back to Dallas, TX where we could celebrate our wedding that was postponed due to COVID.
A list of places that we've previously visited during the summer, but didn't include on our 'road trip' are:
- Bryce National Park - UT
- Zion National Park - UT
- Toadstools in UT
- Antelope Canyon, AZ
- Sedona (Devil's Bridge + Cathedral Rock + downtown area +Slide Rock Canyon) AZ
- Flagstaff (Lava Tube hike + downtown) AZ
- Monument Valley + Valley of the Gods, UT
- White Sands, La Cruces - NM
Hope everyone has been having a lovely fall so far - Christmas is coming! So my big news is that we've moved and settled down in an apartment, so my vlogs will continue but be a little different. Thank you so much for watching and below, I've listed a few helpful links if you're interested in seasonal work, and I've done it a few years.
Stay blessed!

Bryce Canyon National Park was an incredible trip! The hoodoos are much more impressive in real life, than they are in pictures and videos. I found out this is the highest point in Utah as well - it's a good thing I brought my sweater and jeggings! LOL If you haven't visited Bryce Canyon already, it is a must. My husband Travis and I are currently working in Lake Powell here in Arizona over the...

I've been wanting to post my vlog of our visit to Monument Valley for a couple weeks now, and finally have a chance to do so on my off day. Wow, what a place. Looking back through the footage, it still feels like we didn't capture enough. It always feels that way... I want so much to be in the moment and try to take only "essential shots" and look back realizing I still didn't take enough. Oh w...

I don't understand. Those boys are so big already. What do they need an au pair for? They can cook or warm lunch themselves. In my mind, a host family with a baby should get an au pair. Those boys are definitely too old to be taken care of. LOL.

    • @TheJeniVlogShow
      @TheJeniVlogShow Рік тому

Lol I know there’s some missing context :) so I remain friends with this Swiss family (this was a return - my first time the boys were much smaller) but with both parents working and away there are things to be done besides cooking - but it’s more like we eat meals together and I don’t mind having it ready as soon as they come home for a lunch break between school :) im like a big sister if that makes sense ahaha so yes au pair but also not really

I worked at bullfrog marina! In Utah I had a job as a fuel dock attendant but when I got there they swiched me to houseboat cleaner at $5.40 hr. And they worked us 56 hours a week every week!!! I hated it when the scorpions and tarantulas started popping up everywhere!! EVERYWHERE! needless to say it took two paychecks to leave and that's what I did!! Aramark BANNED ME FOR LIFE(for not fulfilling the contract they roped me into after breaking the first one!??) FOR QUITING LIKE %40 of the staff did days before

Do you think I can survive without a car? If I don't bring my car then my option would be to rent vehicles on my days off if I want to visit the other national parks in the area. Any idea if I can work overtime in other departments? Great video, by the way.
